About Clarisse
I am 26 y/o, from Marseille in the South of France. I moved around a lot to study: the Alps, Nantes, Strasbourg, Bordeaux. Now living in Sheffield and working as a mechanical engineer.
I am teaching French to my British fiancé and realised I loved sharing my culture and tradition. I would like to do it with others, and teach them how to master the French language.
I always loved learning new languages and am now bilingual in English and proficient in Portuguese. I know the struggles that we can encounter while learning another language, especially French!

Let’s talk about you, your goals so that we can adapt the lesson to what you’d want to learn. Then we can decide the length of lesson typically between 1h and 2h.
No panic if you are a beginner! I will talk you through the basics:
- Using easy vocabulary for everyday conversations
- Understanding the grammar with simple exercises step by step
- Practising your pronunciation with phonetics
- Learning useful everyday expressions
If you have a more advanced level, I’ve still got a lot to teach you:
- Develop fluency and confidence in real-life communication
- Learn more about French culture
(history, music, literature…)
- Studying French books and understand the complexity of the grammar used.
If you have a specific subject in mind that you’d want to master, I’d be happy to adapt the lesson to your needs.
