About Mirana
I was born in France and went to French school for most of my education. I have lived in China as well. I then moved to India and graduated high school with 41 out of 45 points at the International Baccalaureate, with 7 out of 7 in French Higher Level. Back in high school, I tutored my peers and helped them ace their oral and written exams for both IGCSEs and IB French. I am now starting third year of Medical School in Birmingham, England. I have previously tutored French to my peers for IGCSEs, GCSEs and IB French B SL and HL students.

Being fluent in both French and English and haven taken written exams for both languages, I will be able to adapt my lessons from beginners to more advanced second language students, from primary school focusing on extending everyday vocabulary, to GCSEs for perfection written skills and grammar, and IB French to become near to fluent and ace the oral exams!
The first lesson will help me determine your current level in French and set objectives together. From there I will be able to determines targeted activities that will help you reach your goals.
My lessons will always start with a warm up consisting of informal oral conversation. This stimulates the brain to 'switch' and get used to a different language structure. A vocabulary list will be given about a particular topic and the level of difficulty will be adapted to the student. The student will then be invited to form his/her own sentences with the new words. If written support is required, I will ask the student a typical exam question and we will go through the question together, aiming to target common mistakes and areas of weakness (grammar, spelling, syntax...). Some time will be reserved in case the student needs help in particular areas of the language (i.e. pronunciation). My classes will be flexible according your needs. I am patient and encouraging and will help push you to the top!
