About Skyla
My connection to French developed through academic study and cultural immersion, leading me to earn an M.A. in French Language Studies. With 10 years of teaching experience, I have helped learners build confidence and accuracy through structured yet approachable instruction. I believe students learn best when they feel encouraged and supported. I focus on clarity, adaptability, and practical application, helping learners understand how French works in everyday communication. Outside teaching, I stay engaged with French literature, media, and linguistic research. Teaching French is fulfilling because I see students gain confidence and curiosity about language and culture. Supporting that growth gives meaning to my work.

French lessons are designed to help students communicate clearly while understanding the logic and elegance of the language. I focus on pronunciation accuracy, grammatical structure, vocabulary development, and listening comprehension to build strong foundations. Lessons combine structured learning with conversation so students feel comfortable applying French in real contexts rather than relying solely on memorization. Lesson content is adjusted to each learner’s level. Beginners work on pronunciation rules, basic sentence patterns, and essential vocabulary. Intermediate students develop conversational confidence, reading comprehension, writing structure, and verb accuracy. Advanced learners refine fluency, formal expression, exam preparation, and cultural nuance. Gentle correction and clear explanation support steady progress. Learning French also strengthens attention to detail and expressive confidence. Students often gain appreciation for cultural context and linguistic precision. Many feel empowered as their communication becomes more natural and accurate. My goal is to make French learning engaging, supportive, and sustainable.
