About Zoe
I hold a B.A. in French Studies and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics, inspired by my passion for language and culture. Over 8 years of teaching, I have helped students of all ages and abilities develop fluency, cultural understanding, and expressive confidence. I create lesson plans that balance grammar instruction, vocabulary building, conversational practice, and cultural immersion to foster well-rounded learners.
My teaching style emphasizes patience, encouragement, creativity, and adaptability. Lessons integrate reading, writing, speaking, listening, and cultural exploration, using interactive methods like roleplay, multimedia resources, and conversation practice. I encourage students to actively participate, take risks in speaking, and explore stylistic and idiomatic language.
Outside teaching, I engage with literature, media, and Francophone cultural studies to enrich lessons with real-world examples and inspiration. Witnessing students transform from hesitant speakers into confident, articulate communicators is immensely rewarding.
