About Rae
Hi! I’m a bilingual English–French language and culture student with a strong background in linguistics. I offer conversation-focused tutoring in both English and French, helping learners feel confident speaking naturally in real-life situations. I’ve completed a Language & Culture program and passed the DELF B2, and I’m continuing my studies in linguistics. As a multilingual language learner myself, I understand how challenging it can be to move from “understanding” a language to actually speaking it with confidence.
I work especially well with students who:
– Understand the basics but feel nervous speaking
– Want to sound more natural and fluent
– Want to improve pronunciation and rhythm
– Want to learn how the language is really used in daily life
My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and adapted to your goals and interests. I focus on real conversation, with gentle corrections and clear explanations when helpful, as well as cultural context (including Québec and other Anglophone/Francophone cultures

My teaching approach is conversation‑based and student‑centered. Lessons focus on speaking as much as possible in the target language, using guided conversation, everyday vocabulary, pronunciation support, and useful expressions.
I correct mistakes in a supportive way and explain patterns clearly, without overwhelming students with grammar rules. The goal is confidence, comfort, and steady progress.
