About Cynthia

I am a French native speaker. I am a writer, a tutor, and a qualified coach. I am University educated.
I have published two small French/English poetry books available on Amazon and Draft2Digital with the pen name Ericka Siyo. I am the creator and author of a blog "FreeFrench" where I teach French via stories and creative writing (it's free).
My goal is to teach adults beginners who wish to become fluent in French, but I can also take on board more advanced students.
I am here to help you to reach your best potential in French, and as a Coach, I can keep you motivated until you do so.
I am a good listener, I am enthusiastic, patient and non-judgmental.
Dedicated and passionate, I believe that anyone can!

About the lesson

I have developed my own teaching languages online method based on a Test-Teach-Test approach where I can evaluate students needs.
I stress on speaking and listening first and then move on to the lesson.
I am putting into place a 10 weeks program for beginners. At the end of the 10 weeks, students will be able to introduce themselves, conjugate, translate simple sentences, write and create plots, speak and understand simple matters. Afterwards, we will read stories, listen and sing French songs, where we will develop French vocabulary, French pronunciation, and develop a French hear.
Bit by bit, we will practice creative writing exercises until you reach your goals.
I encourage my students to be as autonomous as possible and to learn by themselves as much as they can, therefore I set up homework, and keep my sessions short to 30mn. I alternate speaking, listening, reading and writing consecutively between sessions.
I conduct my lessons via Skype.
