About Matthew
I am a Fourth-Year student at the University of Edinburgh reading Classical Studies. I fell in love with the world of antiquity when I studied Classical Civilisation at A Levels. My course allows me to study a wide range of subjects within the period (literature, philosophy, history, archaeology, language) I try to focus on studying art, literature and history. I am writing my dissertation on the role of fate in the Iliad.
I enjoy teaching as it can be as casual as a conversation on the subject.

Tutoring method is condensing material into sections, creating ways to remember and understand topics differently.
Lessons are 1-2 hours however, this is flexible and can suit the tutee’s needs. First lesson will be an introduction and understanding what the student needs, this will be free of course.
Material is targeted at GCSE and A Level students studying Classical Civilisations, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Theology.
