About Louise
I'm a former TV producer in Youth Edutainment for South African children. I've won numerous awards for programs like YoTV, Bonisanani, and Youth dramas. I have also published educational short stories for Grade 8 - 10 learners. I have a deep understanding of youth trends and interests. I love children and have a natural ability to engage with children. I believe learning starts with interest in a topic and fun whilst exploring it. I hold a degree in Languages and Linguistics and can teach English, Afrikaans, Drama, and TV presentation.

My lessons are based on topics of interest to students aged 10 - 15 with a comprehension exercise, insight questions, and creative assignments like creating memes, interviews, posters, and SM ads. Each lesson has a vocabulary list and encourages research and additional reading. I use the principles of TV edutainment like repetition, explanation, demonstration, storytelling, and creative encouragement. Content created to address individual grammar challenges and to stimulate general knowledge. Students are to be assessed upfront to determine their level of understanding and interests. Lessons matched to individual learners.
