About Alexander

Hey.

My name is Alex. I was born and raised in Omaha, NE.

Math is difficult and time consuming at times.

But its not impossible.

After taking AP Physics and AP Calculus in high school, I took two and half years of Mechanical Engineering with the University of Nebraska.

After transferring to an online college, I worked at a church for two years, and graduated with degrees in International Studies and Christian Studies.

It would be my joy to help you succeed with math through a relational and encouraging experience.

I look forward to working with you.

About the lesson

Uses problem solving, visual aids or analogies, and gentle feedback.

Desires a positive relationship with students.

Patiently guides students through assigned problems in a hands on way.

General process for lessons:
-Look at the problem(s).
-Ask student what current understanding is and build of that.
-Help student understand any flaws in thinking.
-Aims for students to do problems themselves.

I am patient and not frustrated with struggling students. Willing to work with students at any level. (Only fluent in English.)

Confident with basic or AP level math for high school students.

A former student of mechanical engineering at the University of Nebraska. Personal and understandable approach to teaching math.
