About Sophie
As a former student at Junior Guildhall in London, and leader of my regional youth orchestra for a number of years, I have continued music making alongside my studies in politics and international relations through both teaching and orchestral playing. I was most recently a member of the Sorbonne University Symphony Orchestra in Paris before returning to London for my masters degree.

My lessons are very much tailored to you! I want both young and old to enjoy the music making process more than anything else. However I strive to improve my students technique in order to give them technical facility and capacity to express themselves musically in the most accurate and intentional way.
For more advanced players, lessons start with a focus on studies (Kreutzer and Dont) as well as fun and quirky technical exercises before moving on to rehearsing pieces in preparation for exams, performances, or orchestral rehearsals.
