About Anita
I am a communication professional who used to be a radio presenter. I speak English, Hindi and Punjabi well. I have worked in India and Canada. I know the difficulties that students can have when they are trying to be confident in English. My job in communication, community services and working with people from different backgrounds has helped me learn how to explain things in a patient and clear way. I now have a level of CLB 9 and I keep improving my language skills. I think learning should be positive, useful and fit each student's speed and aims.

My lessons are practical, interactive and tailored to each student’s level and goals. I focus on building confidence in English speaking, reading, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and writing through conversation, guided reading, real-life examples and simple practice activities.
With my background in radio presenting and communication I put a special emphasis on clear pronunciation, confident speaking and effective communication. Each lesson begins by identifying the student’s needs followed by learning and guided practice.
I welcome children, teenagers and adults including beginners and intermediate learners who want to improve English, academic skills or confidence in communication. My goal is to make English comfortable, practical and enjoyable, than intimidating.
