I'm a copywriter and former English teacher that loves rhetoric, debate, essay writing, creative writing, literature, and speech/drama. I taught World Literature, American Literature, British Literature, College Prep. Writing, Speech, Drama, and Creative Writing for 18 years. American Literature is my specialty. I'm pretty flexible as far as what we do in class. In a one-on-one setting, I think it's fine to help with whatever school work you have. My preference, especially with group lessons, is to read selections, analyze them together, then write essay responses, and then edit and rewrite the responses. That's the fastest way to improve your writing, reading, and critical thinking that I have found. I will provide the reading excerpts.
