About Louise
I'm a former TV producer, director, and scriptwriter with a passion for children's programs. I worked on Early Childhood shows like Wielie Walie, Zim Zim, and Lighthouse and teenage shows like Disney's Cartoon Cafe, YOTV, Craze, Bonisanani, Mindset, and many others. I won a few Safta awards along the way and was considered one of the few youth TV producers. I understand youth interest. I taught drama and TV presentation skills to many children between 8-18 years. I'm also a published author of youth content.

I believe children learn when they are stimulated and entertained. I take an edutainment approach to language tuition. I strongly believe in creating a foundation of vocabulary and a focus on interesting comprehension tests as a starting point. I have always used the principles of creativity: free-association and paradoxical thinking to trigger interest. I teach all the important aspects of language, prose, and poetry with creative/interactive tasks. My lessons are not linked to school curriculum. Students receive creative assignments per lesson and should ideally be familiar with Canva. My goal is to stimulate comprehension skills, general knowledge and creative thinking.
