About Skye
With more than 15 years of experience, I am a professional Flute instructor teaching school students, college students, and working professionals. I believe flute learning should be simple, practical, and enjoyable for everyone.
My tutoring style is structured and student-centered. I focus on breathing control, finger technique, tone clarity, scales, rhythm training, and musical expression. Lessons are designed to ensure steady progress without pressure.
I value clear communication and regular guidance. I explain techniques in easy words and encourage students to ask questions. Accountability is ensured through structured practice routines and regular feedback. Integrity is an important part of my teaching, and I always guide students honestly.
In addition to flute instruction, I also teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm exercises, and performance preparation. I assist students with exam preparation and recital confidence.
My unique skill is creating customized lesson plans for beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students. I aim to make flute learning motivating and rewarding.

My flute teaching methodology is built on the principles of Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, aiming to provide students with both technical mastery and expressive confidence. I begin by understanding each student’s current skill level, goals, and learning preferences to design lessons that are fully personalized. Clear communication is central—I explain techniques such as posture, breath control, fingering, articulation, phrasing, and sight-reading in a structured, easy-to-understand manner. I encourage students to ask questions, share ideas, and actively participate in shaping their learning experience.
Creativity is at the heart of my teaching. Students are encouraged to explore different musical styles, improvise, and develop their own interpretations of pieces. I also integrate exercises in composition and musical expression to foster originality and personal connection with the instrument. Flexibility ensures lessons can be adjusted to accommodate the student’s pace, progress, and challenges, allowing for a fully customized and engaging learning journey.
In addition to flute performance, I teach music theory, rhythm, ear training, and sight-reading to provide a comprehensive foundation in musicianship. My methodology ensures students develop technical skill, expressive ability, and musical confidence, while nurturing a lifelong love for music and a deep personal connection to their instrument.
