About Elisabeth
Hello, my name’s Elisabeth! With a French mum and an English dad, I grew up in the UK and moved to France at the age of 15 so I’m perfectly bilingual in both languages. I pursued my studies in France where I passed the baccalauréat (A level equivalent). Following my exams, I worked in commerce, banking and for the past 5 years have been working in the aviation industry for French companies. One of my duties was to provide translations and act as an interpreter between French and English parties. Since the beginning of May 2024, I moved back to the UK and have decided that I want to share my love and knowledge of the French language and help out where help may be needed. Whether you’re passing an exam or simply want to learn the language for professional or personal use, then I will be more than willing to help you out in order for you to succeed. Perfect! As both a native English and French-speaker, Elisabeth has the advantage of being able to help with natural conversation and pronunciation in French, as well as explain in clear English when this has been required to help my understanding of some of the more complex grammatical concepts. Rather than just giving standard instruction, she has shown a willingness to tailor the lessons to my specific needs. We have had a number of lessons together over the last few months and my spoken French has improved significantly during this time, for which I must give her at least some of the credit! An excellent tutor that I would highly recommend.
