About Otto
I am a fluent French speaker with a 2:1 degree in Modern Languages and Translation from Cardiff University. I have studied French for more than 14 years and spent a year living and studying at Toulouse Jean-Jaurès University.
I want to teach because I know how far personal encouragement can go in building someone’s confidence and helping them achieve their individual goals. As a current postgraduate law student preparing for the SQE, I am organised, reliable and committed to continuous learning. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and progressing at their own pace.

My lessons will be friendly, patient and shaped around each student’s individual goals. I will begin by understanding their current level, strengths and areas for improvement, then create focused lessons combining conversation, grammar, vocabulary and practical exercises.
Having learnt French from childhood through university study and immersion in Toulouse, I understand that confidence develops through regular practice without fear of making mistakes. I will explain difficult concepts clearly, adapt my approach to the student’s preferred learning style and provide constructive encouragement throughout each lesson. Whether a student needs GCSE support, conversational practice or help with written French, every session will have a clear purpose and achievable goals.
