About Vivian

Hi! My name is Vivian, and I am a patient and supportive tutor who enjoys helping children develop their reading and literacy skills. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where children feel confident asking questions and learning at their own pace.

I can help with reading, comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, and writing. I adapt my lessons to each child’s needs while focusing on building both their skills and confidence.

Whether a child is learning to read or looking to strengthen their literacy skills, I am happy to provide personalized support and encouragement.

I believe reading should be an enjoyable and encouraging experience. My goal is to help children strengthen their reading and literacy skills while making lessons fun and comfortable. I adapt my approach to each student’s age, reading level, and individual needs.

A typical lesson may include reading a short story or passage together, practicing new vocabulary and pronunciation, working on comprehension, and discussing what we have read. I may also use games, questions, and fun activities to keep students engaged and help them develop their skills without feeling overwhelmed.

What sets me apart is my experience working with children through various volunteer programs. I have been a teaching assistant and have worked with younger students in educational settings. I have also volunteered with programs supporting children and pediatric patients, and I founded my own youth-led nonprofit dedicated to supporting children. These experiences have helped me become patient, encouraging, and comfortable working with children.

My lessons are designed for elementary students who want to improve their reading, comprehension, vocabulary, pronunciation, and overall confidence with literacy. Whether your child needs extra practice, support with schoolwork, or simply wants to become a stronger reader, I will create lessons that match their individual learning pace.
