About Aurna
Hi! I’m a medical student at the University of Manchester and graduated from the IB in May 2024 with 43/45, achieving 777 at Higher Level in Chemistry, Biology, and English. Having recently completed the IB myself, I understand the challenges students face and enjoy helping them build both confidence and understanding.
I have tutored students from Years 7–13 in English, Maths, and Science, including IB and IGCSE Chemistry, Biology, and English. I love teaching because I find it incredibly rewarding to see students grow in confidence, develop their own way of thinking, and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach. I love working with people and growing both personally and professionally!

My tutoring approach focuses on developing a strong understanding of core concepts, building confidence, and encouraging independent thinking rather than relying on memorisation alone. In Chemistry, Biology, and English, I tailor lessons to each student’s needs, breaking down challenging topics into clear, manageable steps while continually reinforcing key concepts through practice and discussion. I emphasise applying knowledge to both real-world situations and exam-style scenarios, helping students understand not just what they need to know, but why it matters and how to use it effectively. Alongside improving subject knowledge, I teach critical thinking and exam technique, creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and achieving their academic goals.
