About James
I am passionate about helping others to increase their academic and application success. Having benefitted from the help of others throughout my schooling and degree, I aim to provide the same assistance to others.
Qualifications:
- First Class Law Degree from the University of Oxford
- Slaughter and May Prize in Contract Law for best performance in cohort
- Experience tutoring in personal statements and the LNAT
- Experience tutoring for Oxbridge interviews, providing both advice and mock interviews
- Extensive essay writing experience gained through Oxford Law Degree
- A*s in Maths, Chemistry, History and EPQ at A-Level
- Eight grade 9's and one grade 8 at GCSE

I have tutoring experience across the UCAS/Oxbridge law application process and have an up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of the law itself, having completed my law degree in July 2023. I am also very experienced in essay writing and can assist in essay technique across any subjects (university work, schoolwork, A-Levels, GCSE etc.).
My tutoring style is specifically tailored to each student’s individual needs, increasing grades/likelihood of application success. I offer 1-2 hour sessions, and will provide resources and review work/applications. Beyond this, I am also committed to helping my students develop transferable skills that can be applied both in and out of academia.
