About Amy
I have recently graduated from the University of Cambridge (Trinity College) with a First-Class degree in History. I have been tutoring for the last four years, sharing my love of learning and the past. I help students at all levels to achieve their very best in exams and Oxbridge applications.

My First-Class History degree from the University of Cambridge (and top grades at GCSE and A-Level) is testament to my keen interest in history and dedication to learning.
I want to nurture this interest in my students, and through this to help them to achieve their academic goals. I recognise that every student learns differently, and my lessons reflect this. We will work together to achieve your goals, but also to develop an enduring sense of the richness and importance of the past. I want my students to learn to write fantastic essays, and to thrive in the exam-hall, but also to cultivate critical thinking skills and intellectual curiosity that will enrich the rest of their lives.
My history lessons are tailored to each student, and their goals. They will invariably encourage you to think independently, and to articulate your learning with precision.
I am particularly happy to advise on Oxbridge applications, offer mock interviews and interview skills practice.

Perfect! Amy taught my daughter in year 10 for her GCSE history course. I was very impressed by her lesson - she is highly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and patient. Her teaching style is interactive, and she was excellent at carrying out the brief I gave her (help with analysing sources in a GCSE context). She is very organised and keeps lessons focused. I have had no hesitation in signing my daughter up for a series of further lessons in the run-up to her exam.

Over the past few months, Amy provided one on one Latin lessons. These were high quality and filled with tons of useful knowledge that really helped me to grow in the language. Over the time I've learnt with her, I've progressed from knowing nothing to knowing many words and sentences in Latin. I would highly recommend Amy as a tutor to anyone wanting to learn Latin.
Amy helped me with my History A-Level coursework and my UCAS application. She’s very patient, knowledgeable and explains things very well - I would definitely recommend her to help you with History as she knows her stuff!
