About Stepan
My name is Stepan, and I help students make sense of finance topics that often feel confusing or overwhelming.
I believe that most students do not struggle with finance because they are “bad at math.” They usually struggle because the foundations were not explained clearly enough. That is why I focus on patience, structure, and step-by-step explanations.
I hold a Master of Financial Risk Management from the University of Toronto Rotman, passed CFA Level I and II, and currently work in banking analytics at a major Canadian bank.
You can expect lessons that are professional, organized, and adapted to your exact needs. My goal is to help you leave each session with more clarity, more confidence, and a better understanding of how the topic actually works.

My teaching approach is based on intuition first, practice second, formulas third.
But before we get there, I first want to understand exactly what you are struggling with and where confusion starts. I often find that the issue is not a specific formula but a gap in the foundational knowledge behind it.
That is why I do not believe in memorizing formulas. Instead, I help you see and understand the relationships. Each topic is broken down step by step and explained in detail until the logic clicks.
