About Samantha
My name is Samantha Bromfield. I am a final year Education student from Stellenbosch University, specializing in the Foundation Phase. Although I have not had much experience tutoring, I have spent over 16 weeks in schools completing my practical learning assignments, where I have had hands-on experience observing and facilitating the academic growth of learners. I also have a vast supply of literacy knowledge from the modules that we have completed at university. I would be willing to tutor a Foundation Phase learner (from Grade 1 to Grade 3) in reading, writing, and spelling.

I will always meet the student where they are at. In the first lesson, I will assess the learner's strengths and weaknesses by looking through their school workbooks, and asking them to read their prescribed readings for me. I will then look at where the child needs to be in terms of the level of work that the rest of their class is doing. From here, I will attempt to bridge the gap by returning to basic reading and writing concepts and building up their literacy skills.
