About Joseph
I am a final year student currently studying biological and biomedical sciences with prospects for future postgraduate work in immunotherapeutic solutions in cancer treatment. My main areas of expertise are in immunology, microbiology, and biochemistry. I, like many of you, was also once a Leaving Certificate student studying biology with dreams of an exciting future career. With those dreams, unfortunately, I was also worried and stressed about the Leaving Certificate, which was not so long ago for me. I can empathize with your worries and your wants and needs for help in this subject as if it is not your end career goal, it can be a difficult and daunting task to undertake. I am confident, however, that my more fun hands-on approach coupled with my personal love and passion for the subject can change your mind and help you to achieve the grade you deserve.

Biology can be a tough subject with many difficult-to-grasp concepts. However, my philosophy is that understanding is everything. Understanding allows you to learn more effectively and allows you to apply your given understanding to further topics to gain further insight into any given function or mechanism. The classroom can be a difficult and sometimes daunting place to ask for individual one-on-one help with a given mechanism or topic. This is one of the many advantages of tutorage in that this is your class to ask what you would like relevant to your upcoming exams and assessments. This is a judgment-free, fun, and informal way to boost your grades for your future career plans. If you also desire a future career in biology, then I would also be more than happy to offer you insight into potential course options post-Leaving Certificate from both my own experience and that of my fellow colleagues.

Joseph is more knowledgeable in biology than anyone I’ve ever met. Not only does he understand the material and explains it in a way that makes sense, but he’s passionate in what he does.
