About Carissa
At Fairfield University I have been the Physics tutor for the past two years. I have had a lot of success with this position and have students who come to tutoring every week. I have also volunteered at EduMate NYC where I tutored elementary school children during the pandemic. Both of these experiences have taught me to qualities of being a great tutor!

Math and Physics can be very hard subjects for a lot of students. Over the years, I have learned that in order to teach students these challenging subjects the students must gain a deeper understanding rather than just knowing how to complete the problem. With each of my students, I like to ask them a series of questions that can help them get to the answer. This will guide the student and teach them the proper processes to complete many problems. I am extremely passionate about tutoring and go into every session full of energy!
