About Ari
I I have a background in Germanic linguistics (my PhD) and have been working on projects involving word origins for a number of years. I tell students that I am one of the few people that they will meet who actually enjoys thinking about how sentences are put together and why words belong to cateory X instead of category Y. I taught at the university level for many years, but I also have taught high school.

I like getting to people and helping them sort out where their difficulties are – sometimes such things are hard to identify.
