About Amelia
With a science degree from UC Berkeley and nearly a decade guiding new learners, I believe biology should be open-ended, creative, and always connected to the bigger world. My students often say they feel free to ask ANY question and find that every answer opens another “corner” of biology to explore. I love seeing previously timid or frustrated students begin to light up with questions, confidence, and a genuine interest in the science all around them.

Hi, I’m Amelia! My biology lessons are for every student looking to truly understand the wonder of life—no matter your starting point or how “lost” you might feel. I never limit you to just a list of topics or a few chapters; instead, we explore all of biology, making connections across the subject so you never feel boxed in. Think big ideas, real-life connections, and “why” more than just “what.” Each session is built around your curiosity—whether a simple question or a real-world example gets you wondering, we’ll follow it all the way, uncovering details, stories, and insights from every corner of the biological sciences.
The learning is always interactive, visual, and supportive: you’ll get easy-to-remember analogies (think “life is like a billion-piece puzzle”), vibrant summaries after every lesson, and confidence-boosting “explorer challenges” to try and spot biology at home or in your daily adventures.
