About Everly
I am a passionate violin tutor with 14 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Studies, specialising in violin performance. My classical training has given me a deep understanding of technique, expression, and musical interpretation. I love helping students discover their own expressive versatility while building confidence and skill.
In lessons, I focus on bowing precision, vibrato control, phrasing, and stylistic interpretation to help each student play with clarity and emotion. I guide learners through ABRSM and Trinity syllabus preparation, ensuring structured progress and exam readiness. Orchestral coaching is also a key part of my teaching, giving students insight into ensemble playing and musical collaboration.
I aim to make lessons engaging and inspiring, blending technical exercises with creative exploration. Students are encouraged to develop a strong foundation while discovering their personal musical voice. I adapt my approach to suit each student’s goals, whether they are focused on exams, performance, or creative expression. Improvisation and expressive phrasing are integrated to keep learning dynamic and fun.
I enjoy nurturing curiosity, fostering independence, and guiding students toward both technical excellence and emotional connection with music. My goal is to make every lesson a step toward confident, expressive, and joyful violin playing.

In my violin lessons, I focus on nurturing curiosity and encouraging experimentation. I believe every student learns best when they feel free to explore and discover on their own. Creative methods like sound exploration, musical games, and improvisation exercises make learning playful and engaging. We work on open string resonance and fingerboard mapping to build a solid technical foundation. Listening skills are emphasised to help students connect deeply with music and develop intuition.
I use ear–eye coordination exercises to strengthen precision and musical awareness. Students who enjoy independent discovery are guided to set their own challenges and explore techniques at their own pace. Those who connect emotionally with music are encouraged to interpret pieces with feeling and personal expression. Learners seeking strong technique benefit from structured exercises that gradually expand their skills. Creative expression is fostered through improvisation and composing short musical ideas.
Each lesson blends structured guidance with space for personal experimentation. I adapt exercises to match the student’s personality and musical goals. The result is a learning journey that is both disciplined and inspiring, helping each student discover their unique musical voice.
