About Louise
I am an experienced piano tutor with 20 years of teaching experience, helping students from school, college, and working professional backgrounds develop their musical skills. I believe that anyone can learn piano with the right guidance and dedication. My teaching approach focuses on patience, clarity, and step-by-step progress.
I adapt my lessons based on each student’s learning style and goals to ensure steady improvement. I focus on building strong fundamentals before moving to advanced techniques. Along with piano, I teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to support overall musical understanding.
I include practical exercises and creative learning methods to keep lessons engaging. My strength is making learning simple and effective. I help students build confidence, improve consistency, and develop regular practice habits. I aim to create a positive and encouraging environment.

I follow a student-centred, engaging, and creative teaching methodology that prioritises the growth and development of each learner. I believe piano lessons should be enjoyable, motivating, and tailored to the student’s abilities and goals. Through clear communication, I understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and musical interests, which allows me to design lessons that are effective, fun, and inspiring.
Creativity is a key aspect of my approach. Students are encouraged to explore improvisation, compose original pieces, and experiment with different musical styles, which helps build confidence and a personal musical voice. Flexibility ensures lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, skill level, and preferred learning style, creating an enjoyable and productive learning environment.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This integrated methodology develops technical proficiency, expressive skills, and musical understanding. My goal is to guide students to become confident, creative, and lifelong musicians.
