About Elara
I’m a Math tutor with over 3 years of experience and a BA in Mathematics. My academic background is rooted in topology and knot theory—areas that explore shapes, spaces, and how they can twist, stretch, or bend without breaking. I use visual aids, models, and real-world examples to make these abstract ideas accessible and exciting. From the curves of a knot to the structure of a molecule, I help students see the connection between mathematics and the world around them. I enjoy working with learners who are curious about abstract math, theoretical physics, or even mathematical art. My sessions are a mix of clarity, creativity, and challenge. I encourage students to think visually and conceptually, not just symbolically. We often explore questions that don’t have easy answers—but that’s where the fun begins. I believe that abstract mathematics is not only for the advanced but for anyone willing to explore with curiosity. I support my students by adapting to their needs and guiding them toward deeper understanding. My goal is to help you see the beauty in complexity. My teaching approach in Maths is highly structured and goal-driven. I focus on building one concept at a time, ensuring each idea supports the next. This step-by-step method helps students feel confident as they move from basics to advanced topics.
I cover a wide range of subjects including algebraic foundations, calculus concepts like differentiation and integration, geometry proofs, and real-world applications of probability and statistics. Each lesson is planned with a clear progression path, so learners always know where they’re headed and why it matters.
I offer tailored guidance based on each student’s pace and style. My strength lies in breaking down tough problems into manageable parts. As a future actuary and dedicated problem solver, I bring logic, precision, and real-world relevance into every session.
I also teach students how to think critically, not just memorize formulas. My goal is to make sure they truly understand the “why” behind each method. I regularly use past exam problems and application-based examples to sharpen their skills.
