About Isabel
Originally from Philadelphia, I began my undergraduate education at Barnard College of Columbia University and later graduated from the University of Michigan. I went on to earn my Master’s in Classical Vocal Performance from Mannes at The New School. My passion for writing and literature began at a young age, leading me to take advanced English and writing classes and pursue my own creative writing projects. With years of experience tutoring college essays, I love helping students discover their unique writing voice to craft meaningful and personal essays and supplements. I work with a wide variety of students, tailoring my approach to each individual to help them grow their self-understanding, cultivate their passions, and submit strategic, standout applications. During my time at Michigan, I served on the college admissions panel for the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, where I gained valuable insight into the admissions process. This, along with my own diverse college journey, inspired my dedication to guiding students through their own applications. With nearly a decade of experience as a private voice and piano teacher and a background in dance, I also specialize in arts admissions coaching. I assist with artistic portfolio reviews, highlighting individual strengths while ensuring a cohesive and well-rounded application.
