As a tutor, my approach centers around the individual student's needs and preferences. I believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance and support, and my goal is to help my students achieve their academic goals by tailoring my approach to their specific needs.
I use a student-centred approach that emphasizes active engagement and problem-solving. I encourage my students to ask questions, provide feedback, and engage in open discussions to facilitate a deeper understanding of the subject matter. In addition, I use a variety of teaching aids and tools such as visual aids, practice problems, and real-world examples to reinforce key concepts and make the learning process more engaging.
My lesson plans are personalized to target the student's specific needs and learning goals. I begin each session by assessing the student's understanding of the subject matter and identifying any areas of weakness or confusion. From there, I develop a personalized plan that targets the student's specific needs and learning goals. The lesson would then involve a combination of instruction, guided practice, and independent work to reinforce key concepts and build the student's confidence and mastery of the material.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students on a personal level, build a strong rapport, and create a positive learning environment. I take the time to get to know my students, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and develop a teaching approach that works best for them. Additionally, my strong academic background in engineering and my years of experience as a tutor have equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively teach and communicate complex concepts.
While my lessons are primarily designed for middle and high school students in Toronto who need help with math and physics, I am open to working with students of all levels and backgrounds who are seeking support in these subject areas.
