  • Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

My first experience using a computer was at home with my mother. I remember being fascinated by the simple act of typing and seeing words appear on the screen. It was a Windows XP machine, and I spent hours exploring basic games, Paint, and Microsoft Word. That early curiosity sparked a deeper interest that stayed with me throughout my academic journey and professional career.
  • What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

The evolution of data science and artificial intelligence has marked me the most. Watching how data has transformed from static spreadsheets to dynamic, predictive insights across industries has been incredible. I believe the next turning point will be the integration of quantum computing with machine learning-unlocking problem-solving capacities that go far beyond current limitations.
  • Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

I hold an MSc in Data Science and a BSc in Finance, and I currently work as a Data Analyst for a leading UK firm. My expertise lies in transforming data into actionable insights using tools like Python, R, SQL, and Power BI. Data Science is the backbone of modern decision-making, helping businesses and governments make informed, accurate, and efficient choices. Understanding data is no longer optional-it's essential.
  • Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

While these tech giants have certainly shaped the industry, I draw inspiration from educators and mentors who are quietly building futures through knowledge-sharing. People who take complex concepts and break them down to empower others truly inspire me. That's the kind of role model I strive to be for my students.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

During my MSc at the University of Manchester, I led a group project to predict customer churn using machine learning. At first, my team was overwhelmed by the complexity of real-world data. But by applying step-by-step techniques, I helped guide us to build a working model that ended up being one of the top projects in the class. It taught me the importance of teamwork, simplification, and mentorship.
  • What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

I'd say, "Everything feels complicated until you find the right teacher." IT isn't about memorizing jargon-it's about learning to think logically and solve problems. Once we break it down into small, relatable steps, it becomes surprisingly intuitive and even fun!
  • What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

Outside of IT, I love hiking, cycling and badminton-I've played competitively for years. I'm also passionate about traveling and have visited over 6 countries, learning how different cultures interact with technology and education. This global exposure helps me connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • What makes you a Superprof in IT?

What sets me apart is my combination of industry experience and a genuine passion for teaching. I've been tutoring for 8 years, and I tailor each lesson to the student's goals, whether it's acing an exam or mastering a real-world skill. My outcome-focused approach, patience, and structured teaching style ensure that students don't just learn-they thrive.
