About Cynthia
I am a dedicated Computer Programming tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience, supporting students from KS1 to KS5 as well as 1st Year College learners. Over the years, I have helped students of all abilities develop strong coding skills, improve their academic performance, and gain confidence in programming.
My teaching focuses on making programming simple, practical, and enjoyable. I understand that coding can feel challenging at first, so I break down complex concepts into clear, step-by-step explanations. I guide students through logical thinking, problem-solving, and real coding practice so they can learn by doing.
I have experience teaching a range of programming languages, including Python, Java, and introductory web development. I also support students with GCSE and A-Level Computer Science coursework, exam preparation, and project work, helping them understand key concepts and improve their grades.
My approach is patient, supportive, and fully tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. I aim to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, experimenting with code, and building confidence at their own pace.
My goal is not only to help students succeed academically but also to equip them with practical programming skills that will benefit them in further education and future careers in technology.

I offer structured, practical, and engaging computer programming lessons for students from KS1 to KS5, as well as 1st Year College learners. My lessons are tailored to each student’s level, goals, and learning pace, ensuring a supportive and effective learning experience.
My teaching approach focuses on learning by doing. Programming is best understood through practice, so I guide students step by step as they write, test, and improve their own code. I simplify complex concepts into clear explanations, making it easier for students to understand logic, problem-solving, and core programming principles.
I teach a range of programming languages including Python, Java, and introductory web development. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to improve your skills, I adapt lessons to suit your needs.
For exam-focused students, I provide targeted support with coursework, assignments, and exam preparation. This includes coding practice, debugging techniques, and understanding key concepts required for assessments.
Each lesson may include hands-on coding exercises, mini-projects, problem-solving tasks, and personalised feedback to help students track their progress. I also emphasise building confidence and independent thinking so students can continue learning beyond our sessions.
