About Ian
Hi! I am Ian O’Reilly BA(hons) PGCert FCMI. I have been playing bass guitar for over 30 years and am experienced in a range of styles - rock, pop, funk, disco. I believe that learning a musical instrument can enhance every area of your life. So whether you’re a young person with plans for stardom, or someone who just wants to experience something new I can help you achieve your aims.
As well as playing in various musical outfits, I have also had a 25 year career in publishing and have successfully home educated our three children. All of which helps inform my approach - which is friendly and focussed on your development and overall wellbeing

I start with understanding your motivation for learning the bass and what your medium and long term goals are. I will then shape the lessons around your own ambitions making sure everything is kept at the right level to avoid discouragement.
I normally teach an hour lesson but can be flexible.
