About Hannah
Hi y'all! My name is Hannah and I've been working in education as a tutor or teacher since 2016. I've taught everything from college writing (at DePaul), public speaking, and creative writing to English as an additional language. I've also worked with students looking to pass the ACT, SAT, PSAT, IELTS, and TOEFL. My expertise as an educator comes from my undergraduate and graduate studies in writing studies, my training as a Fulbright teacher in Malaysia, and my TESOL certificate work. My passion comes from my own love of writing and language.

Confidence and student agency are key when it comes to succeeding in writing and language learning, so I make sure that my teaching or tutoring is always student-centered and supportive. When I teach or tutor, I always make sure to adjust my teaching style given a student's relationship with either language learning or writing, a student's learning style, the modality, their level, etc. What remains the same is my energy and enthusiasm for work they're doing. I make my strong passion for literacy education present in how I make sure to make lessons meaningful and engaging.
