About AJDA
I am a lifelong musician - singer-songwriter, performer, and recording artist - as well as a graduate from Berklee College of Music, in addition to teaching since 2009. So I have done it, I am not just an academic. I know what it's like to feel nervous and vulnerable trying out your voice, but you will find I am a patient, thorough, attentive, and nurturing teacher who will provide you with real strategies you can implement as you build your voice. My goal is to help you connect to your voice so you can paint and soar with it, free of physical tension or doubt. I love what I do!

My adult voice lessons are typically 60 minutes, during which we may cover any of the following aspects of singing:
-ridding the body of physical tension (especially around singing muscles) in order to sing with ease and relaxation
-how to engage proper breath support
-scales and patterns to practice
-posture/alignment
-artistic interpretation of songs (emotional meaning, etc.)
-articulation
and much more!
Overall, I teach holistically, addressing each singer's unique challenges, but firmly establishing a strong foundation for any genre of singing. I have taught voice since 2009, and have worked with people from all walks of life. Beginners very much welcome, but I am happy to work with any level as long as students understand their own role in their success via practice, etc.
