About John
Apart from being an active composer and keyboard player who writes music for media and classical music, I am a tutor at The University of Edinburgh and the Academy of Music and Sound in Glasgow. I have been a tutor at Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and the Ionian University.
My music have been performed internationally in Japan, UK, Lithuania, Belgium, Denmark and Greece, in well-know concert halls, galleries, and festivals.
I hold a PhD in Composition from The University of Edinburgh and a Master’s Degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

My teaching approach is based on an interdisciplinary methodology which aims to extend student's understanding of music through creative means. I use technology and improvisation as main practical tools, which help my students to understand all the theoretical and practical aspects of music. Ι strongly encourage them to compose their own music, express themselves and evolve as musicians through this highly creative process.
