About Simran
I am a postgraduate student at the LSE in the Media and Communications department. I am from Miami but am British born and a UK citizen. Having done my undergraduate years in the United States in Politics and Communication, I am highly knowledgeable on US and UK University Application expectations and processes. I served as a paid writing tutor at my Undergraduate university for two years and also have privately tutored several students who needed assistance with University application essays or general coursework. I have always enjoyed mentoring young people. Since High School, I have been mentoring young orators and debaters. I have been blessed with some of the best English teachers since a young age, who have equipped me with solid writing skills that I enjoy passing down to other students who may not have had the same experience or who might just need a bit of extra help.

I feel that while helping students organize and write and expanding their vocabulary, it is important that they learn from the tutoring experience. This will allow for the students to achieve great writing by themselves in the future. I believe I foster an approachable and friendly environment in which students feel comfortable and happy. I am also always happy to communicate with parents if requested. I can also provide students with guides to writing as necessary. I generally prefer to work on Google Drive so that the student and I can edit simultaneously. I aim to provide students with lifelong writing skills.
