About Hastings
I like to approach sessions collaboratively. At the beginning of our time together, we agree upon a set of goals towards which we will both work. For me, this means offering aid in skill development utilizing tutoring best-practices and my subject-area expertise. For students, this means investing time and energy into our sessions while "leading the way" towards what skills they find most necessary.

I am a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Philosophy in English Literature and Philosophy. I have two years of hands-on experience tutoring students in writing and have worked as both a teaching assistant and editor to more substantively advance content knowledge and prepare individual pieces of writing for public consumption.
