I am a Computer Programmer with experience tutoring at the college level. I like to tutor in math subjects but can also tutor in computer programming subjects. I have tutored for 2 years and over 300 students helped during my time tutoring.

I first introduce myself to my student. I then ask what courses they are taking. From there I try to gauge their understanding of the course by seeing what they need help with and how comfortable they are with the subject matter. I will ask to see if they have taken any notes and if they notes make sense to them. It will also help if they have the book for the course handy for referencing. From there we will address what they are having issues with, usually with homework so we can establish an understanding for the subject matter as well as develop techniques for studying, problem solving, and critical thinking that they can use beyond this course.
