About John
I have a Master of Music degree from University of Michigan. I am fully qualified as a Suzuki violin instructor. I worked for 20 years as a professional freelance musical theatre (Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Les Miserable etc) and orchestral musician( Toledo Symphony, Indianapolis Sympyony). I've taught Suzuki and traditional violin and viola for 20 years.
I show the student how to practice so that they get good results quickly. I focus on posture, rhythm, intonation, bow control, synchronization ot the two hands performance anxiety and building self confidence. Check out my YouTube channel, Fiddle_Faddle. I plan to add some classical violin music soon.

My son Ellery took lessons with Mr.Ronai for 5 years. He played in the Primo orchestra in 5th grade and moved up to Prelude orchestra for the youth symphony orchestra. He attended MWROC. Music camp. Mr. Ronai is a skilled teacher and did a great job preparing him for his auditions.
He knows the instrument very well. Was a critical part in my progression from an intermediate to an advanced violinist. His knowledge covers anything you would need to know such as posture, theory, musicianship, or counting.
John is very patient and my daughter has already improved after just a few lessons.
John was my stand-partner in the TSO years ago. It was a great pleasure working next to such a talented and solid violinist.
I really enjoy Mr. John’s approach to teaching: his constant optimism and the effective techniques that he uses to teach are very valuable. I truly feel very fortunate to be his student!
