About Steff
I have completed my SMARTER Intervention training and have used this program in my English as a second language (ESL) classes. I have seen tremendous growth in my ESL students abilities. Now, I would like to apply my experience and knowledge to helping local students develop the literacy skills they need to be successful in school, work, and life.

By using the SMARTER Intervention program, my goal is to help young learners develop the skills they need to increase their reading, writing, and spelling abilities. I target phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing. I provide a concept map so parents and students know how lessons will progress. Through built in assessments, I will test how students skills are developing so parents and children alike can see how their abilities have grown.
