About Olivia
Hey! I'm Liv Howell, a recent grad of NYU Tisch where I studied Musical Theatre & TV/Film Acting! I have 7+ years of teaching theatre and performance related subjects, starting when I was only 14! I am a performer and teacher, so I know first hand what it takes to nail that audition, feel confident both onstage and in private, and really love what you do.
What makes my approach to teaching voice unique, is the challenges I've faced on my journey with my own voice. During my first 2 years of college, I had a vocal injury that severely limited what I could do with my voice. Navigating and healing this injury really forced me to relearn and build my voice entirely from scratch, which gave me tons of insight and knowledge about the anatomy of the voice, the mental blocks that can limit your vocal ability, and how to overcome the many challenges that can arise when strengthening the voice.
Teaching and performing are and always have been my passions, and I lead with a relationship based approach that will ensure your needs as a student and a human are met. Each student is unique, and with that I will curate a personalized plan that will get you to where you want to be and beyond! Let's connect and get to work!
