About Tricia
Sewing is a lost art, but an incredibly beneficial skill to have! Plus, it feels SO good to finish a project! In 2015, I taught myself to sew, clothes mostly, and I love to pass this information onto others.
I can teach anyone to sew, but as a full time elemenary school teacher, I am uniquely qualified as a teacher, as well as a seamstress.
While I encourage you to have your own sewing machine, I will provide a sewing machine for you to practice on during lessons for an additional fee. I also provide all thread and other materials needed to make specific projects.
I can't wait to meet you and start making some wonderful things together!
I absolutely love sewing because I enjoy creating, finish projects and having something useful to show for it. I specialize in sewing clothing, which is pretty awesome because it means I can make clothes that fit my unique body. I can teach you to do that as well!
I am a self-taught seamstress and I am a credentialed teacher. So I love to work with people of all ages and skill levels.

I hired Tricia to work with my 10 year old daughter who loves clothes and all things creative. I thought since Tricia was a teacher, that she'd do well working with children. I was absolutely right. She quickly got my 10 year old to talk and my daughter had such a great time working with her. Each week, my daughter would look forward to her sewing lessons. Tricia is personable, knowledgeable and a great teacher. My daughter absolutely loved her finished project and has continued sewing since her lessons.
Tricia is a really good teacher. She's patient and everything was hands on. It was nice when I made a mistake, she made me feel ok with it and simply showed me how to fix it, just in case it happened again. Tricia is easy to work with and I was really happy with my finished project.
