About Brent
Northwest Martial Arts specializes in the integration of different martial disciplines for practical self-defense. Students can train with multiple instructors from different specializations based on their interests and schedule. No other school offers this degree of cross-training options combined with deeply experienced and skilled instructors.
Classes are available for both children and adults.
Adult classes include Aikido, Aikijutsu, Jujutsu, and Karate. Both traditional (Kobudo and Kenjutsu) and modern weapons (pistol, rifle, shotgun) training is available for those interested.
Our children's program focuses on building discipline, coordination, physical fitness, and character building. We teach a mix of martial skills to children, giving them a well-rounded skill set at an early age.

The instructors at Northwest Martial Arts are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience to students who are interested in learning real, practical martial arts. This training has value that can be applied to daily life as well as protection against violent encounters.
The instructors at Northwest Martial Arts have many years of experience. Each specializes in a particular martial art, but all have great cross-training experience and most are ranked in multiple disciplines.

New students are encouraged to contact us with any questions, either via email or in person. We invite them to come to a few different classes to either watch or participate, whichever they are more comfortable with.
Some students choose to focus on one class, other students choose to practice all of them, most students choose to train in the classes based on the instructors or training nights they prefer. We encourage students to try all the classes to see what fits their interests and schedule best.

Focus on sustainable technique based on body mechanics! I study karate there and have learned techniques that don't require me to be young and strong like so many "sport karate" dojos teach. The instructors are welcoming and friendly. Most train in at least a couple disciplines so you learn what works from karate, jujutsu, and aikido. It's been such a great experience!
Great instruction, community, and arts. Emphasis on non-competitive, practical, and effective arts makes for a productive and chill environment. Recommend for adults looking to start a new hobby/skill, hang out with cool people, and then punch and throw them!

Standard monthly pricing for adults is $135/month. We do not require contracts and offer discounts for students, law enforcement and military.
