About Taryn

I am a 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Life Skills Support teacher at an Easton Elementary School. I work and collaborate with students and parents/families to develop long lasting partnerships.

I teach and modify all core subjects to address each individual student’s needs while following state standards. I work alongside parents and families to best help their child grow and be successful. I have experience helping the most neediest of students to ensure their academic success and happiness. I also have experience working with parents/families, and I am able to comfortably alleviate the concerns that they may have through my “soul” for teaching. I have a desire to help and support all students through my artistic “outside of the box” teaching strategies. I have experience teaching a variety of students with different disabilities and needs. I have experience implementing and modifying numerous curriculums on a variety of different grade levels.

I am able to accommodate curriculums and materials in unique ways to best fit the individual needs of each child. I love using differentiated instruction as it is one of the best teaching tools that provide all student’s high success levels. I have experience teaching and providing instruction in all hybrid models, as well as synchronously and asynchronously. I am able to build up and strengthen student’s confidence and success levels. I always say that I have the best job in the world because I am each student’s cheerleader, helping and supporting them to cross the finish line and achieve their dreams and goals.

I love having the opportunity to help student's reach their goals and dreams. I love to provide 1:1 instruction to indivual student's in a tutoring setting because I am able to address their needs by incorporating my enthusatic teaching style that motivates all students and have a proven high success track rate.

About the lesson

I start out by asking the parent/guardian and student what their goals are for their child and what they would like to accomplish by the end of the sessions. I will ask what the student's strengths and weaknesses are and then from there I will begin testing the student to see where their current educational academic levels are. Following this, I will set up a personalized lesson with materials and activities to help build the student's skill set that will increase their success rates.
