About Kenzie
Hello! I am a student in the Elementary Education program with an emphasis in special education. I have experience tutoring students of all elementary grades in all different subjects. I am a para for a student on the spectrum and I volunteer in schools on a consistent basis. I know how to work with kids and I love to be able to facilitate learning.
I got started by being a para at an elementary school.
I am currently in the elementary education program at Kansas State University. I am a para in an elementary school working with a student on the spectrum in all classes. I also volunteered as a tutor through a program called Schools of Hope.

The process for working with a new student is important. First I set up a meeting date. I want to meet the student and get an idea of their interests and learning style. I also will meet with the parents to discuss their concerns or concerns of a teacher. The second meeting is where I assess the level that the student is at and go from there.
I have worked with students with learning disabilities, students that excel in subjects, and students that need just a little extra help.
