About Liam

I have been teaching English on italki to students from around the world, focusing on conversation, as well as pronunciation, grammar and spelling, since December 2019. I have taught nearly 100 students since then, and continue to help other people increase their language skills in the English language, whether they are a native English speaker or not. I love to meet new people, as well as help other people learn English. In my opinion, it is a very important life skill to have no matter where you live. I have various curriculums that can be tailored to an individual students need, depending on what their highest priorities and interests are in increasing their language skills. I am very flexible with the needs of each and every student, and my #1 goal is to enable the student to succeed and achieve their goals.

I do not have any formal training or formal education relating to this tutoring, however I have taught kids in the past, and have been quite successful. I feel that this is because I am able to relate to them quite well, and can understand their confusion and difficulty in understanding the material. I do plan on getting an associate's degree in ESL in the future.

During our first lesson, I will have a conversation with the student about what their goals are in the language learning process, and what specifically they struggle with the most. This helps me formulate a plan as to what the best approach would be in order to enable the student to succeed. After the first lesson, we will start to work through the plan that the student and I have put together.



I have worked with students from all over the world, and have worked with students from all ages, ranging from first grade all the way up to seniors.
