About Megan
I am a fully credentialed Reading Intervention Teacher with knowledge of the state standards and common core curriculum. I utilize several strategies to help students succeed and discover what works best for them. Additionally, I am passionate about teaching and helping students gain the skills they need to grow.
I love working with students and providing them with strategies to help them succeed. It is amazing to watch them grow in their confidence and feel like they can begin to accomplish different subjects on their own.
I attended California State University, Fullerton where I earned my Bachelor's in Child and Adolescent Development in 2017 and received my Multiple Subject Credential in 2018. Currently, I am a substitute teacher in Huntington Beach City School District and Fountain Valley School District where I teach students K-5. Furthermore, I am a Reading Intervention teacher at Cox Elementary School in Fountain Valley where I provide targeted instruction in reading, writing, phonics, phonemic and phonological awareness.
