About Jacqueline

Nice to meet you! Hopefully I am your new tutor. My application goes something like this —-> I meet my students where they are at and set attainable goals to get them where they need to be. I collaborate with parents, and other education professionals to find resources to apply a wide range of strategies to enrich learning and accommodate different learning styles. I let my students use their strengths and creativity to solve problems or answer questions. Overall, I let students be themselves and encourage and support their unique individuality. The curriculumn is skill-based instruction and progress is measured based on demonstrated understanding. Lastly, my lessons include real-world application.

I enjoy seeing my students grow and become confident within themselves and their ability.

I’m 2020 when the pandemic hit, I saw a need for education and wanted to join the field to support those that lost access to a good education.

I have been a certified English teacher for 3 years. Working with students at various age levels and different academic standings. I am experienced in English and Special Education.

About the lesson

First building a rapport with each of my students is crutial to the learning process. Understanding their glows and grows. Providing an assessment to meet them where they are and create an academic pathway to attainable goals.

I have worked with students from elementary to high school with diverse backgrounds and needs. I have been working with ESL students for 2 years including students with disabilities. I have been teaching English for a total of 3 years.

Give yourself grace and time, learning new skills takes time so do not beat yourself up. Make sure your needs are being addressed and you are clear about your expectations and goals with your desired tutor.

Recently one of my ESL students is becoming more confident having conversations in English.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What areas are your strengths and weaknesses in? What are your short term and long term goals? Do you have a time limit? Is there a specific reason you need tutoring and what is it? This is going to affect how rigorous each lesson needs to be and how learning will be applied.

Yes. $40 per hour is the standard for each lesson. I have package deals. $120 for 5 sessions or $285 for 10 sessions.
